Chapel Concerts was proud to welcome the "Passion: Take It All Tour" to the Williamsburg Community Chapel on Friday, November 14 at 7 pm.

From its start in 1995, the Passion movement has had a singular mission — to call Christ's disciples across the nation and around the world to live for what matters most — the name and renown of Jesus Christ. Passion exists to glorify God by uniting His people in worship, prayer, and justice for spiritual awakening.  Passion is more than music and more than events. It is a generation living for His name.

The Morning Rises Tour

Aaron Shust, MIKESCHAIR, Jonny Diaz, Lauren Daigle

April 13, 2014

On Sunday night, April 13, 2014 we welcomed the Morning Rises Tour to the Chapel. Centricity recording artist, Aaron Shust, headlined the night along with MIKESCHAIR, Jonny Diaz, and new artist Lauren Daigle.

All of these artists have had recent success on Christian radio; including Aaron’s song No One Higher reaching number 1 while he was here to perform. The audience responded with enthusiasm every time one of these radio hits were played.

“I was so happy to hear so many songs that

I regularly hear on Christian radio.

I didn’t realize I knew so many of their songs!”

Along with an evening filled with worshipful music and lyrics from every artist, there was a call to help break the cycle of poverty through the work of Compassion International. The response was incredible! More kids were sponsored here than at any of the other shows on the tour. We are grateful to have such a generous audience!

Moody Symphonic Band

March 14, 2014

The Moody Bible Institute Symphonic Band presented a concert of sacred and secular music at the Chapel on March 14, 2014.  Comprised of string, woodwind, brass and percussion musicians, the group played classical as well as traditional and contemporary sacred music.  The musicians are undergraduate students at Moody Bible Institute, and they are pursuing a variety of educational majors in preparation for ministry around the world.  The Symphonic Band was directed by David Gauger  II, a member of the music faculty at Moody.  Students were housed in the homes of Chapel families who enjoyed the opportunity to get to know the individual students they hosted.
